The Professional Bull Riders' website has the world standings for the current year. Along with event points earned, statistics include the number of events in which riders competed, bulls ridden and attempted, rider success percentage and money earned during the year. The PBR standings page include links to the BlueDef Velocity and Touring Pro Division standings and the standings of the best bulls. Bulls are listed by the buck-off success rate and average score.
Bull riders earn points based on placement in rounds and overall events. Rodeos in the Built Ford Tough Series, the PBR's top flight, are worth the most points in the standings. The BlueDef Velocity and major international rodeos award fewer world points, and riders receive the fewest points in Touring Pro and second-level international events.
In the Built Ford Tough Series regular season, the top five riders in a round and the top 15 on the average, or the full competition, receive points. The round winner gets 100 points while the average winner gets 400 points. For BFTS major events, 150 points go to the winner of each round and the overall winner receives 600 points.
The Built Ford Tough World Finals awards the most points: 200 to round winners and 1,000 for the overall champion. The Velocity Tour Finals gives 80 points to round winners and 200 to the overall winner. The top five riders in each round, and top 10 overall, earn points.
