Boker catalogs are available as printed publications or downloadable PDF files from the Boker website. U.S. retailer Knife Depot documents features of much of the Boker knife range online without requiring download.
The first Boeker blade was made in 1829 when Hermann and Robert Boeker decided to start making sabers at the Boeker tool factory in Remscheid, Germany. Hermann soon emigrated and founded H. Boeker & Co. in New York. By 1900, the majority of articles produced by the original Boeker company were distributed in the U.S. market. The German and U.S. Boeker factories manufactured similar knives and shared the company's "Tree Brand" trademark until World War Two, when the German factory was destroyed.
The American branch of Boeker controlled the brand until the German factory was rebuilt in the 1950s. The company changed hands several times during the 1960s and 1970s, and in 1986 Boker USA was created in Denver, Colorado.
