Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been voted as the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world, according to ESPN's pound-for-pound rankings. As of February 2015, Mayweather has an upcoming bout with long time pound-for-pound runner-up Manny Pacquiao.
On May 2nd, 2015, a bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is set to decide the true pound-for-pound best boxer in the world. Mayweather has the better record, going 47-0 with 26 knockouts in his career, compared to Pacquiao's record of 57-7 with 38 knockouts. Pacquiao holds more championship belts, however, as he has eight to Mayweather's five. One of the only men to fight both Mayweather and Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, believes that Pacquiao is likely to get the better of Mayweather.
