The Epic Pass has no blackout days, as of 2015; however, the Epic Local Pass does include blackout dates during the busy ski days surrounding holidays that occur during the season. The Epic Pass gives holders unlimited access to participating American and international ski resorts.
The Epic Pass includes unlimited lift tickets to many popular ski resorts in the United States and international locations. It includes Perisher Resort in Australia. Access to the Perisher resort depends on the purchase date of the pass. If the holder pays for his pass before the beginning of the Perisher ski season, his access is for the current year. If he makes his final payment after the Perisher season begins, his pass is good for the season following that of the United States.
Holders of the Epic Pass receive benefits beyond their unrestricted lift tickets. Each pass includes six ski-with-a-friend discounts. The owner of the pass must be present in order for the friend to purchase the discount pass.
While the local pass includes holiday blackout dates, it offers significant savings for skiers. The local pass includes 10 days at Breckenridge and Vail along with unrestricted skiing at other participating resorts. It has teen and college student options, which are not available with the standard Epic Pass.
