WWE wrestler Edge's real name is Adam Copeland. He was born in Ontario, Canada, on Oct. 30, 1973. Copeland first started wrestling in the 1990s under the ring name Sexton Hardcastle. He started wrestling in the WWF in 1996 making $210 per week, then debuted in the WWE in 1998. Copeland has been married twice, and as of 2015, he is in a relationship with former WWE wrestler Beth Phoenix. Phoenix and Copeland have one daughter together.
Copeland, who was raised by his single mother Judy Copeland, has never met his father. Before beginning his wrestling career, he attended Humber College in Toronto, Canada and graduated with a degree in radio broadcasting. One of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history, Edge has won 31 championships in his wrestling career; he is also a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.
Edge retired from wrestling because he was diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis. If he had continued wrestling, the probability was high that he would become paralyzed or die. Edge has also released an autobiography titled, "Adam Copeland on Edge." Edge is currently an actor and has appeared on TV shows such as "Deal or No Deal," "Haven," "Mind of Mencia" and "The Weakest Link."
