Benjamin Marauder is not a person, but a line of pre-charged, pneumatic air rifles and pistols. They are manufactured by Crosman Corporation, an international designer and supplier of competitive shooting products.
When Crosman purchased the Benjamin Sheridan Company in 1992, it acquired many of its product lines, including the Benjamin-branded rifles. Benjamin Sheridan itself was an amalgamation of the Benjamin Air Rifle Company and Sheridan Products, which merged in 1977. The Benjamin rifle and pistol lines continue to make up a large portion of Crosman's adult hunting offering as of 2015.
American designer Walter R. Benjamin held the patent to the original "Benjamin Pump" gun, first introduced to the market in 1882. Crosman, founded in the 1920s, refined the use of carbon dioxide as a power source and has incorporated its technologies into the Benjamin products.
In June 2015, the Benjamin Marauder rifle was named "Readers' Choice" in the favorite airgun category by "Game & Fish/Sportsman Magazine." The Marauder model is available in three calibers and two stock finishes, with an adjustable comb. Several limited-edition finishes are available, including the female-focused "Muddy Girl by Moonshine Camouflage." The more compact .22 caliber Marauder air pistols are offered in two models, one in a camouflage finish.
