College football fans can find the award date for the annual Heisman Trophy by visiting Heisman.com and selecting Balloting Info from the History header. The 2015 Heisman Finalists are scheduled for announcement on December 7, with the trophy presentation slated for December 12 -- both live on ESPN.
The balloting process divides each state into one of six geographical regions, with 145 media votes spread across each section. Additionally, each of the former Heisman winners is allotted a single vote.
Each voter must designate three individuals for the award on the ballot; assigned three (first place), two (second place) or 1 (third place) point(s), respectively. The candidate accumulating the most total points is declared the winner.
