Full Answer

  1. Determine bobber location on line

The bobber location depends on the depth you want the bait to be suspended in the water. For example, if a pond is a 6 foot deep and you the bait to be floating 4 feet from the bottom, the bobber will be 2 feet above the hook.

  2. Connect the bobber

Locate the spot that you want to place the bobber. Hold the line at that spot with one hand and grab the bobber with the other. Push down on top of the bobber and a small hooked catch will appear. Wrap the fishing line around this bottom catch at least twice. Next, place your thumb on the bottom catch and depress the sides of the top button. Another catch will appear in the middle of the top button. Wrap the fishing line around this catch at least twice.

  3. Start fishing

The bobber is now secured and will not slip when cast. Bait the hook and start fishing.
