Tejon Ranch's carefully managed hunting programs include game tags for Rocky Mountain elk, deer, turkey and wild hog, as of 2015. Additional hunts include high desert bird hunting and foxhunting with the hounds.
With over 270,000 acres of hunting habitat, Tejon Ranch in California has a Private Lands Wildlife Management License that allows them to set hunting seasons, harvest limits and number of hunting licenses issued. The ranch also offers trail rides, outdoor dining, hundreds of hiking trails and guided photo safaris. Tejon Ranch is located about an hour north of Los Angeles and less than an hour south of Bakersfield, with local concerts, produce markets and outlet malls.
