Recreational vehicle sites offer a barbecue grill and picnic table, as well as water and electric hook ups. Some recreational vehicle campgrounds also have graveled sites and pull through access. Tent sites offer basic amenities, including common restroom and shower areas. Thousand Trails does not rent tents or recreational vehicles.

Cabins, cottages, travel trailers and yurts are available for rent at Thousand Trails campgrounds. Covered wagons and western village cabins are also available at some Thousand Trails locations. Each housing option sleeps four to six people.

Cabins feature televisions, kitchenettes and a front porch. Some cabins also include a gas grill. Deluxe cabins include linens and a microwave.

Cottage amenities include a full-size kitchen stocked with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. Full bathrooms and satellite television are also included. Cottages have a microwave and gas stove, but they do not have a standard oven.

Travel trailers have full kitchens and baths. Cookware, dishes and linens are optional. Linens are also optional when renting a yurt, which is equipped with a satellite television and VCR.

Covered wagons include a common fire pit and barbecue area, as well as electrical outlets in each wagon. Sleeping cots are provided, but linens are not. Western village cabins include bed linens, but not towels. The cabins are heated and come equipped with ceiling fans, coffee makers and refrigerators. Restrooms are always less than 60 feet away from the cabin.
