View real-time updates about California earthquakes at the California Real Time Earthquake Update site or at the Live Quakes Map section of the Global Incident Map. Both sites get their updates from the U.S. government.
The California Real Time Earthquake Update site posts data every five minutes and displays the information for 24 hours. For each earthquake, it provides the time it occurred, the magnitude, the depth and the location in coordinates.
The Global Incident Map displays the time, magnitude, depth and name of region for earthquakes in California and elsewhere. Visitors can zoom in on California on the map to see only earthquakes that happened in that state.
