What Are the Prices for the Indianapolis Zoo?
Prices for the Indianapolis Zoo depend on the day of the week, time of year, the age of the person going, and the current demand for the planned date. Because of this fluid pricing, the best deals are available when tickets are purchased well in advance.
The zoo uses demand-based pricing, which means that peak dates, such as weekends in the summer, often have much higher prices than off-peak times. In addition, tickets purchased in advance are always cheaper than those purchased at the gate, so planning ahead is useful to save money. Children under 12 and seniors over 62 receive discounted admission. The zoo also offers a discount for AAA members.
Purchasing a zoo membership provides free entry for an entire year as well as access to special events. Memberships are available in several packages, including individual and family memberships. As of July 2014, these membership packages vary from $116 to $184 per year.
