How Do You Plot an Exponential Function Curve on Microsoft Excel?

An exponential function can be easily plotted on Microsoft Excel by first creating the data set in tabular form with values corresponding to the x and y axis and then creating a scatter plot from the values. Select the range on data on a spreadsheet and click on the "Marked Scatter" option in the charts toolbar.

To create a trend line out of the data that best fits the data set into an exponential function, right click on the data points and select the "Add Trend line" option. From there, select the exponential trend type. You can also select the option to show the best fit equation on the chart so that values can be predicted.
