Where Is the Planet Saturn Located?

Saturn is located 886 million miles (1.4 billion kilometers) from the sun. The sixth planet in the solar system, Saturn rotates on its axis once every 10.7 hours and orbits the sun once in 29 earth years, according to the National Aeronautical and Space Authority.

The second largest planet after Jupiter, Saturn is largely a gas planet, with an atmosphere that consists of hydrogen and helium. NASA indicates that Saturn has 53 confirmed moons and an additional nine awaiting confirmation as of 2014. The massive planet has a mean radius of 36,395 miles (58,232 kilometers) and has one ring system around it.
