To make the color orange, you will need paints in red, yellow and white as well as a small dish and paintbrush for mixing. Mix the two primary colors and then add white to achieve the desired shade. The process should take only a few minutes, depending on how much of the color orange is being produced.
- Combine the two primary colors
In the dish, pour some yellow paint and a very small amount of red paint. Red is a stronger color than yellow, so only add in small amounts.
- Mix the paint
Mix the paint with your brush. You may need to add more red until you reach the shade of orange you want.
- Add white paint
To further adjust your shade of orange, add a dash of white paint in the mix and continue to blend. The white paint brings out the secondary characteristics of each color.
