Which Elements Are Malleable and Conduct Electricity?

The alkali metals, transition metals and metals in group 13, 14, and 15 on the periodic table all are malleable and good conductors of electricity Each of these groups has different characteristics, but all are able to conduct electricity and be formed or shaped easily.

In the alkali metals group, which is group 1 on the periodic table, soft, malleable, metals are found. They are also good conductors of electricity and have low melting and boiling points as compared to other metals in other groups. Some of these metals include cesium, Francium, lithium, potassium, rubidium, and sodium. These metals are silver-colored when pure and soft, and they do not occur freely in nature, according to Elemental Matter.

Other malleable metals are found in the transition metals of groups 3 through 12. These metals are less reactive than the alkali metals and include iron, copper, silver, and gold. These metals can be found in nature.

The last metals that both conduct electricity and have malleable structures include the Metalloids, or groups 13, 14, and 15 of the periodic table. These metals include tin, lead, bismuth, thallium, Indium, aluminum and gallium. These metals are solid, opaque, and are good conductors of electricity and heat when necessary.
