Although Sir Isaac Newton had many great contemporaries, nearly all of his great work was completed single-handedly. However, as a necessary part of the scientific process Sir Isaac Newton's colleagues checked his work for validity and authenticity, working with him indirectly.
Sir Isaac Newton lived during the height of the Scientific Revolution, brushing shoulders with many other great scientists, mathematicians, philosophers, architects and other influential individuals. Just a few names include Gottfried Leibniz, father of the binary system that is the foundation of nearly everything digital. Additionally, he worked with Christopher Wren, famous architect, astronomer, mathematician and physicist; and Edmond Halley, the individual responsible for charting the orbit of Halley's Comet.
