What Are Some Causes of Adult Skull Indentations?
Last Updated Apr 17, 2020 7:39:07 AM ET
Sublaxations, or skull indentations, in adults result when the 13 bones in the skull are knocked out of alignment, according to the Van Family Chiropractic Wellness Center. The misalignment may have been caused by a head injury.
Sublaxations may result from head injuries during childbirth or falls in the childhood years. Babies delivered with the assistance of forceps, suction and vacuum extactors commonly have misaligned skulls. Most people are not aware of their past head trauma and have not obtained proper care for such head injuries, causing health problems that worsen over time, including headaches, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, memory lapses and changes in behavior, explains the Van Family Chiropractic Wellness Center.
