NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has been used to take many high-quality images of gas giant planets Jupiter and Saturn.
A gas giant is a planet that is mostly composed of hydrogen and helium. They are massive planets, with more than 10 times the mass of the Earth. Jupiter and Saturn are gas giant planets found in the outer solar system. Many extrasolar gas giants have also been identified and when found orbiting very close to stars, are called 'Hot Jupiters.'Learn more about Stellar Astronomy
