The World Wildlife Fund, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Earth's Endangered Creatures all offer continually updated lists of endangered and other threatened species. Lists of local endangered are also available from state departments of fish and wildlife.
All these lists record endangered species as well as species that are under concern, near threatened and vulnerable. The World Wildlife Fund provides information on the species, including the threats that they face, why it is important to save them, and what non-profit organizations, such as the WWF and local and state governments, are doing to lower the threat and increase the population size of endangered species.
