Which Animals Live in a Woodland Habitat?

Woodland habitats are thriving with many different species of animals like spiders, chipmunks, skunks, squirrels and deer. In order to survive in a woodland habitat, the animals that reside there have to be able to adapt to a variety of situations and climate changes.

Animals that call woodland areas home have to adapt to the different seasons by migrating, hibernating or keeping active during the winter months. These animals also have to deal with leaves falling off the trees, and because in the fall they lose their tree cover, they are often camouflaged to look like the ground, making it harder for predators to spot them.
