Activities on Pearson Interactive Science involve photosynthesis, gravity, material properties, and protecting the environment and its resources. Interactive Science has programs spanning grades K through eight.
Interactive Science teaches students science and technology, the Earth's structure, diversity of life, human body systems, and an introduction to chemistry. The write-in student edition allows students to engage with the page and keep personal records of their educational experiences, and the company claims that interaction with learning helps students understand more.
A typical Interactive Science page might have a visualization and an activity to complete. The student can further her understanding by applying what she has learned on the same page and answering questions to assess her understanding. The program also has a Lab Zone, which goes with the Teacher's Lab Resource. The Lab Zone may contain virtual labs, material kits, scenario-based investigations and hands-on activities.
The program also includes an online accompaniment in My Science Online. This interactive medium features full-motion video, sharp animation and virtual science journeys. A blue bar indicates content that can be accessed through My Science Online. Teachers can use this part of the resource to access a teacher's edition, assign homework, and track class or student progress.
