White is a common color among Persian cats and the most popular. White Persians with deep golden eyes are the most common and blue eyes occur less often. Due to genetic influence, some white kittens with blue eyes are deaf, while others have one gold and one blue eye.
White Persians have many different coats, from hard and slick to the eye-catching halo fluff. Those with thick cottony coats are challenging to keep clean and require daily grooming to prevent mats and tangles. Persian cats overall are undemanding and serene, yet playful and curious. Persians come in many color combinations, including tabby, bicolor, solid, shaded, calico and Himalayan, with color points similar to those of a Siamese.
