J.J. Maxwell Tack & Saddle hand-tools western saddles for both horses and mules. All of the company's western saddles are in the Visalia tradition, with premium quality leather and rawhide covered wooden trees. The seats are leather ground for comfort and are available in different sizes, gullet widths and bars. The average saddle weight is about 40 pounds.
Sawtooth Saddles makes a variety of western styles, including authentic old time western saddles, buckaroo western saddles and modern western saddles. Sawtooth offers collector's editions of saddles, tack and cowboy accessories that are stamped and numbered.
Frecker Saddlery makes all of its own saddle trees at it Dillon, Montana, facility that was founded in 1981. The company uses only Herman Oak leather from St. Louis, Missouri. Frecker's has a gallery of its handcrafted saddles available for viewing on the company website.
