Some of the trustworthy sources for Ragdoll cats and kittens that are for sale are the websites for Ragdoll Fanciers Worldwide Club, The Cat Fanciers Association and RescueMe.org. Vetstreet.com also lists additional organizations' websites that give breeder recommendations.
Ragdoll Fanciers Worldwide, or RFW, offers a breeder's directory broken down by country and region. Clicking on a location and cattery will bring you to the website where an email can be sent. In addition to the breeder's directory, there is a listing of retired Ragdolls that are available for adoption and specific kittens that are for sale. This site also contains additional information and photos about Ragdoll cats including genetics and breeding information.
The Cat Fanciers' Association website has several tabs along the top of the page; click on the Breeds tab, and choose Ragdoll by clicking on the photo. The next page has blanks where breeders are found by name, country and/or state. Select the breed, and click the Search button to find breeders. Click one of the names from the list to obtain additional information about a particular breeder.
Ragdolls that have been rescued and are up for adoption can be found on Rescueme.org. On the top right-hand side, click the View Animals for Adoption box. Select animal type and click on the photo of a Ragdoll; a map of the United States appears along with the number of cats that are available in each state. Select the state of interest, and the photo and description of the cat will appear. Adoption fees vary, and not all cats are pedigree Ragdolls.
