A teacup Persian kitten is a miniature version of the standard Persian cat. Teacup Persian cats generally weigh 5 pounds or less as adults, while standard Persians weigh 12 pounds or more.
Because of their small size, teacup Persian kittens require extra care. They are more fragile than an average-sized cat, so they are more susceptible to accidental injuries. Therefore, teacup Persian kittens are not recommended for families with small children. They require daily grooming, and their face and eyes need to be cleaned regularly. Unfortunately, teacup cats are more susceptible to health problems, and they generally have shorter life spans than average-sized cats.
