Tamaskan puppies are the young of Tamaskan dogs, a wolf-like breed that was developed by breeding husky-like dogs with Siberian huskies, Alaskan malamutes and German shepherds. The result is an intelligent, athletic working dog.
Tamaskans have thick, gray coats that may be mixed with red or black, and they require little grooming. They grow to a height of 24 to 28 inches and weigh 50 to 90 pounds, with the females being smaller than the males. Active dogs that need lots of exercise, Tamaskans excel in agility and sled racing. They are gentle with children and prefer not to be left alone for long. They live 14 to 15 years.
