A Siberian crane is a species of bird in the crane family, characterized by a long neck and long legs. Most of these birds breed in northeastern Siberia.
The Siberian crane is an aquatic bird and spends most of its life in and around wetland areas. It does not like human contact and tends to prefer habitats where humans are not frequently seen. The Siberian crane is an omnivorous animal and eats a variety of plants as well as fish, insects and small rodents. This species also exhibits interesting mating behavior, which involves dancing, calling in unison, stick tossing and wing flapping.
