The International Cat Association and the Cat Fancier's Association, Inc. have lists of Scottish Fold breeders on their websites, as of 2015. The International Cat Association also has guidelines that buyers may use to determine if a breeder is reputable.
The International Cat Association website at TICA.org lists breeders by country and state if located in the United States. The first page only lists the location and cattery name. Website users click on the cattery name to view more information, including breeder city, state, email address and a link to breeder website. The International Cat Association warns on its website that the organization does not endorse any catteries or make any warranties on the cats or kittens listed for sale on its website.
The Cat Fancier's Association's website has a search feature, and Scottish Fold buyers narrow their searches to the specific breed by selecting "Scottish Fold LH" for long-haired Scottish Fold cats, or "Scottish Fold SH" for short-haired Scottish Fold cats. The website also gives users the option to search by breeder name, country, state or cattery name.
The search results page on the Cat Fancier Association's website lists breeder name, location, cattery name and a description of the breeder and available cats. Clicking on the breeder's name shows contact name, address, phone number and email address. Some listings include pictures of the breeder's cats.
