AdoptaPet.com provides information on the Canadian Cocker Spaniel Rescue, a nonprofit group based in Ontario.This group rescues homeless, abandoned and sheltered spaniels and assists owners who can no longer care for their pets.
The Canadian Cocker Spaniel Rescue provides appropriate vaccinations, heart worm prevention and spay and neutering. The organization places dogs in foster homes until it finds the dogs forever homes. An applicant must fill out a form and provide references and, if she owns other pets, a veterinarian contact. The adoption fee is $400 for spaniels over one year of age, $300 for senior dogs age seven or older and $500 for puppies, as of 2015.
SpringerRescue.org is a national referral and foster care placement program for English springer spaniels that have been impounded by humane societies and shelters. This site links to Springer Rescue of Eastern and Central Canada, a nonprofit group that rehomes springer spaniels in need. It hosts a photo bank of available dogs with information such as location, age and background. Site visitors also access a foster application should they want to provide a temporary home for a dog in need.
