The Swinery Pig Ranch and Rescue, Piggy Pals Sanctuary, California Potbellied Pig Association and Ironwood Pig Sanctuary are all rescues that specialize in potbellied pigs. Other sanctuaries include the Belly Draggers Ranch, Lil Orphan Hammies, Happy Pig Farm, Safe Harbor Pig Refuge, and Pigdom Sanctuary and Shelter. The Pig Placement Network is a nonprofit pig adoption organization that educates prospective owners and connects them with abandoned or relinquished potbellied pigs.
Ching Farm Rescue and Sanctuary, Pig Dignity Sanctuary, Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary and For Pigs Sake also rescue potbellied pigs. Although they don't specialize in potbellied pigs, animal rescues such as the Homeless Pet Placement League, Humane Ranch of Texas, Valhalla Animal Sanctuary and Country Critters Rescue Corral offer potbellied pig adoption and rescue services. Organizations such as the Washington Potbellied Pig Association, the National Committee on Potbellied Pigs and the Tri-County Potbellied Pig Club offer adoption, foster and placement services for potbellied pigs.
There are dozens of potbellied pig rescues throughout the United States. These rescues provide food, shelter, companionship and medical care to pigs whose owners have abandoned, abused or surrendered them. Potbellied pig rescues also accept homeless pigs from animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations.
