Formed in 1987 the Philippine Eagle Foundation works to conserve and breed Philippine eagles at the Philippine Eagle Center. The foundation also works to save the eagles' rain forest habit. The Philippine eagle became endangered due to hunting and habitat loss.
Pagasa and a rescued female eagle named Kalinawan celebrated another milestone for the Philippine Eagle Center on Feb. 9, 2013, when their first chick was hatched. Kalinawan laid an egg after undergoing artificial insemination with Pagasa's sperm.Learn more about Eagles
