A mix between a daschund and a miniature pinscher is called a doxie-pin. A doxie-pin weighs 6 to 15 pounds at maturity. Most doxie-pins are black and tan in coloration.
Doxie-pins are active and playful. They are smart and learn easily but can be stubborn and difficult to train because they would rather play than pay attention. They have only moderate exercise needs and do fine in an apartment setting as long as they are given a daily walk. They have large button ears and long, thin tails. They tend to be on the short side and can gain weight easily.
