Full Answer

The top of the page contains a box where either an address or a zip code can be entered. In addition to location, there is the option of choosing the type of pet, the breed, size and age desired. After completing the information, click the find pets box. After clicking on that box, there are additional optional search filters to further narrow a search. These filters include searching by the distance from the home and whether the pet is housebroken, declawed or has special needs. Further filters include pet size and if there are other pets or children in the household.

The search results show a photo of the kitten, kitten's name, physical description and the name and location of the adoption organization.

This site also has information on pet adoption groups, shelters and rescues and how to care for a pet. There is a tab on the top of the page that gives detailed information about pet adoption. What to expect after bringing a cat home, what type of cat to adopt and the cost of owning a cat are a few of the subjects covered under this tab.
