The GloFish lifespan is two to five years. They are popular tropical freshwater aquarium fish that do well in tanks that are 15 gallons or larger.
GloFish, also known as zebrafish, come in a variety of colors, such as red, green, orange, blue and purple. The fish are native to the streams of the southeastern Himalayan region. They are found in streams, canals, ditches, ponds and slow-moving or stagnant water bodies located in parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Burma. GloFish are even found in rice fields. The fish are used in scientific research due to their regenerative abilities.
