Adult golden boxers weigh 60 to 75 pounds and measure 22 to 25 inches tall. If kept in good health, a golden boxer may live 10 to 15 years.
The result of breeding a golden retriever and a boxer together, golden boxers combine physical and mental characteristics of both parents. Their heads are round with oval eyes and floppy ears, and their bodies are lean with short, shiny fur. Classified as sporting and working dogs, this breed is intelligent and physically strong. While boxers' high spirits and loyalty are ideal for families, they require ample room to run and play. Aggressiveness, excessive barking and destructive behavior are common if a boxer does not receive ample exercise, training and attention.
