Miniature labradoodles are a mix between a Labrador retriever and a poodle. This type of dog is known as a good guide and companion dog. The breed comes in three different sizes: miniature, medium and standard.
The labradoodle's coat can either be soft and wavy or wiry and curly. This breed is known to be very loyal, affectionate and friendly. The dogs are intelligent and easy to train. Although they are not ideal guard dogs, they tend to get along with people of all ages and they are gentle and make great family pets. These dogs do not need a big home. Small spaces to live are perfect for the miniature labradoodle, which would be a good choice for a family who lives in an apartment or small condo. This type of dog needs 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day, and they need to be brushed daily to avoid getting their fur tangled in mats.
Miniature labradoodles measure 14 to 17 inches and weigh 26 to 55 pounds. Medium versions of the breed run 18 to 21 inches and weigh 40 to 55 pounds and standard dogs top out at 23 to 26 inches and 40 to 60 pounds.
