National Geographic states that the Nile crocodile is the world’s largest reptilian predator. It has over 60 teeth. If any fall out during attacks, new ones are generated in its place. Crocodiles are the world's most social reptiles, and have been known to hunt cooperatively.
A crocodile's eyes, nose and ears are high on top of the skull so that it can be almost completely submerged, yet still hear, see and breathe, reports National Geographic. While a crocodile is submerged under water, a protective membrane closes over a crocodile's eyes to provide protection, much like swimming goggles are used for humans.
