A giant Doberman, colloquially known as a "warlock," is an oversized Doberman pinscher that may have been crossed with a bigger breed, such as a Great Dane or a Rottweiler. Purebred Dobermans are medium-sized dogs and unlikely to approach the size of giant breeds. Kennels do not officially recognize warlocks.

The Doberman pinscher can grow to 28 inches at the shoulder and weigh nearly 90 pounds. Its muscular, compact build makes it a strong, athletic breed with great stamina. Dobermans are characterized by their intelligence, loyalty and affectionate nature. These qualities make the Doberman a superb watch or guard dog.
