Geese are medium to large birds that have webbed feet and a rounded, flattened bill. They look similar to other waterfowl such as ducks and swans. Though they can be large in size, wild geese are fully capable of flying for long distances.
Geese come in a variety of shapes and colors. Both wild and domestic geese come in variations of white, black, brown or gray. Some breeds of domestic geese have curly feathers. For most species of geese, there is no difference in colors or patterns between the sexes. Their bills and feet colors can be orange, black or brown.
