Fruit bats live in the tropical areas of the world, such as the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa. They prefer locations with warm climates because they do not hibernate in cold weather.

Fruit bats like areas that provide plenty of fruit for them to eat. They live in forest regions with fruit trees nearby and in locations that have fruit available throughout the year. Fruit bats like to sleep high up in the trees where it is dark during the day, and they are safely hidden away from any predators. They also like to live near water so that they have a nearby source for drinking.
