What Are Finnish Spitz Puppies?

Finnish spitz puppies are the young offspring resulting from the breeding of two Finnish spitz dogs. Although the adult Finnish spitz has a golden-red coat, puppies are often born black, brown, fawn or gray; some describe Finnish spitz puppies as looking like red fox cubs.

The Finnish spitz is the national dog of Finland. The American Kennel Club classifies it as a non-sporting dog for competition purposes. Finnish spitz dogs tend to be friendly and love children, and are therefore suitable as pets. They range in size from 15.5 to 20 inches at the shoulder. They require moderate exercise, frequent bathing and brushing of their thick coats.
