Crocodiles are carnivores, meaning their diet is mainly meat. They eat fish and mammals, such as deer, bats, kangaroos and crayfish.
Crocodiles live in swamp and wetlands. They are great hunters that have extremely powerful jaws. They come out of the water when it is time to hunt. Crocodiles hunt well enough that almost no animal is safe from them. They can move very quickly and quietly to attack. While their diet stays consistent most of the time, one crocodile has even been witnessed to attack a Bengal tiger. Baby crocodiles can not hunt as quickly and must watch out for predators, such as the cheetahs and other carnivores.
