Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies are a canine breed recognized by the American Kennel Club. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are a toy spaniel known for their playfulness, docile nature and overall happy disposition.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies and adults are eager, intelligent, fearless and happy. Because of their temperament, they are excellent companion dogs. They are active and enjoy learning, playing, and chasing small animals and attempting to retrieve them. They are not good kennel or outside dogs and should not be left alone for long periods of time. Their coats can be tricolor, black and tan, red and white, or ruby. They have big, round, dark eyes that are rimmed with black. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have long ears covered in feathered fur that should be brushed often to avoid tangling and matting. Regular brushing is also needed on the rest of their body, and they shed moderately in the spring and fall. The only haircut they require is the trimming of the fur that grows in the pads of their feet. Adult Cavalier King Charles Spaniels average 12 inches in height and weigh between 10 and 18 pounds. They are good apartment dogs as long as they get daily exercise.
