Are Cashews Bad for Dogs?
Cashews can safely be fed to dogs in very small amounts. While they are not toxic, extreme moderation and caution should be used when feeding them to pets.
Cashews are very high in fat and sodium content that can easily overwhelm a dog’s system. In addition, they can pose a choking hazard or create obstructions in a dog’s digestive system due to their size. Generally speaking, nuts are not the best treats for dogs. Some nuts may contain molds that are toxic to dogs, and others are harmful on their own. Macadamia nuts and all kinds of walnuts should be avoided completely.
