The Tamaskan Club of America maintains a list of registered Tamaskan breeders on its website. As of 2014, there were only two registered breeders located in the United States. The Tamaskan Club of America warns against purchasing dogs from breeders who are not registered with the club.
According to the Tamaskan Club of America, some individuals have been selling dogs under the breed Tamaskan even though these dogs are not registered with the Tamaskan Club of America. The Tamaskan is a recently-developed breed intended to look like a wolf but act like a domesticated dog. They were bred by mixing huskies, malamutes and German shepherds. The bloodline was closed in 2006, and the breed has not been recognized by any major breed registries.
