Many animal rights websites provide statistics on animal cruelty, including HumaneSociety.org, RescueInk.org and AWIonline.org. Most sites that report information regarding animal cruelty are also animal rights organizations.
Each of these sites offers information regarding animal abuse statistics. The Humane Society focuses on changes in federal animal abuse laws, dog fighting statistics, and how state legislatures have changed to protect animals. Rescue Ink shows animal abuse statistics and what steps to take if animal abuse is suspected. The Animal Welfare Institute has an in-depth report on animal cruelty in the United States, as well as data on offenders, including age, race and gender.
In addition to these sites, the Federal Bureau of Investigation will begin collecting animal cruelty data and reporting it in the National Incident-Based Reporting System beginning in 2016.
