A reputable breeder can be found at dog shows or on websites such as the American Kennel Club (AKC) or the Dachshund Club of America. Both of these websites offer information regarding breed standards and what to look for when buying a teacup Dachshund from a breeder.
Use the following steps to find teacup Dachshund puppies in an area.
- Go the AKC website
- Find Dachshund breeders
- Click Find a Puppy
- Make selections
- Select a breeder
Navigate to the AKC website and click the link that brings up the list of breed names.
Click on the "D" at the top of the page to navigate to Dachshund. It will be the first breed to appear on the page. Click the picture.
Under find a puppy, click "Search for Dachshund puppies here."
Using the drop-down menus, select the Dachshund breed and enter a ZIP code. Select the box that best describes an acceptable search radius, accept the terms of service and click Find Puppies.
Select the breeder to see his contact information. Shoppers can also see information about the sire and dam and how many puppies the breeder has available. Some breeders list sale prices, and users can see a complete breeder's profile on the page.
