Two web sites that list reputable breeders of miniature huskies are SHCA.org and AKKAOA.org. Pupquest.org provides a checklist that consumers can use to confirm reputability of local breeders.
Because Alaskan Klee Kais look nearly identical to smaller variants of Siberian huskies, it is common to refer to both breeds as mini huskies. Linda Spurlin first bred Alaskan Klee Kais in 1970 as a mix of Alaskan and Siberian huskies and American Eskimo dogs. Bree Normandin began breeding smaller variants of Siberian huskies in the 1990s. The two breeds look very similar but have different temperaments. Both can also be difficult to find because they are rare; however, with some research and patience, it is possible to find mini husky puppies from reputable breeders.
