A person cannot keep a Komodo dragon as a pet. The Komodo dragon is endangered due to poaching and destruction of its habitat. It is also dangerous.

The Komodo dragon is considered the largest lizard on earth. When it’s fully grown, it can weigh over 300 pounds and be over 10 feet long.

The bite of a Komodo dragon is notoriously deadly. Though they are scavengers, they also ambush prey as large as a water buffalo. The dragon bites the prey and waits. If the prey doesn’t bleed to death, it dies of septicemia, or blood infection, in a short period of time.
